This is a road in Frontenac State Park, south of Red Wing, MN. This is one of our favorite fall places, we've gone there for my birthday each year now since 2005.

I'm going to start posting a photo per day, to give me a reason to exist.
This shot was taken in Yellowstone National Park, on July 31st 2008. The site is called Mammoth Hot Spring Terraces. Here's an interesting bit of science about the formations:
